Amanda N. Simons

Amanda N. Simons (b. 1984, Flint Michigan, USA) is an artist, writer, educator, safety advocate, and kid whisperer whose interdisciplinary art practice currently explores the intersections of queer identity and experience-based learning. Their zines highlight how ridiculous it is to live a life as a chronically ill neurodiverse person who teaches power tool safety as a profession. If you love silly word play, dramatic doodles, and too-real and sometimes hard to read stories, you’ll also love Amanda. Amanda holds a BFA/BA in painting and writing, and an MFA/MA in interdisciplinary art and visual criticism.
