Ratbee Press

Ratbee Press is the name of the design and letterpress studio of Sally Anne Morgan. Founded in Asheville in 2012, Sally is a self-taught drawer and illustrator. She learned letterpress printing by apprenticing at Innerer Klang press in the River Arts District from 2012-2015. Ratbee work combines hand drawn images with antique letterpress printing techniques, hand-set type, and hand-carved linoleum blocks and eco conscious printing practices. Themes of urban and suburban nature, wildflowers, quirky critters and heartfelt sentiments infuse the work. Sally lives in Alexander now on a small hobby farm with chickens, sheep, a donkey, her dogs and cats and son. She also owns Leveller Brewing Co. in Weaverville with her husband Andrew Zinn.
