Ashcraft Glass

Virginia Ashcraft began fostering her love for glass in 2011 while working in sales at the Asheville Glass Center. She was drawn to the flame shop and explored torch working as a hobby for years, accruing knowledge from fellow artists and solo experimentation.

In 2017 she received a scholarship to Penland School of Crafts for flameworking. This formal education was the foundation which lead to the subsequent launch of her business, Ashcraft Glass.

Virginia currently makes her work out of a shared studio space in Asheville, developing her growing line of jewelry. Her work presents a balance of geometric form with a wide array of color and texture to encapsulate the dynamic and ethereal nature of glass.
